A mathematical model for understanding disruptions of the hepatic clock

The mechanisms which synchronize the hepatic clock to food timing are poorly understood, yet perturbations of this link are associated with diseases such as obesity or type 2 diabetes. Researchers from the Pasteur Institute of Lille and from the PhLAM laboratory propose to address this question though a mathematical approach, in a paper published in the 18 october issue of Cell Reports.

Portable Nano-Particle Emission Measurement System

The PEMs4Nano project (which started in October 1, 2016) addresses the development (based on current direct injection gasoline engines) of measurement procedures down to 10nm, providing a contribution to future regulation on particle emissions, in particular in real driving conditions. The activities planned in the project will also support the understanding, measurement and regulation of particle emissions below 23 nm (with the threshold of at least 10 nm)
